Hotel George

|
It may have seen more glamourous days but this Habsburg era gem is still one of the top places to stay in town. The lofty halls teem with the ghosts of former guests, who in this case include such eminent fellows as Balzac, Liszt and Jean-Paul Sartre. The George boasts 75 rooms in all, divided into four classes, ranging from deluxe apartments to singles with shared bathrooms. Step out onto one of the city's most famous squares, which is adorned by a statue of the great Polish poet Adam Mickiewicz. |

A decent hotel to stay in. Lots of character, and probably the best location in the city.
