"Sorry, I just left feedback for the wrong castle (it was for Zolochyk). Pidhirtsy was our favorite! Straight out of a Hollywood movie. With a long tree-lined driveway, a courtyard behind the walls, a mote, grand staircases, spectacular views from the balcony. One can imagine nobility exiting the palace onto the back balcony (the size of a football) to wave to their guests in their "backyard." The dilapidated state aids in visualizing the place in its prime. Hopefully, the renovations will enhance one's imagination even more."

"We visited this castle in July 2006. Interesting facts were given by our guide about the use of this castle as a prison. I am trying to find further information online about this place. "
