A new overnight train between Krakow and Lviv has started service. The sleeper only service will depart from the Lviv main station at 11.59 p.m. and arrive in Krakow at 5.25 a.m. In the other direction, the train will pull out of Krakow at 10.19 p.m. and get into Lviv at 6.03 a.m. The extra service is welcome proof of government promises to radically improve transport links between the two cities ahead of the Euro 2012 football tournament – despite Krakow being bypassed as a potential host city. However with many tourists expected to add Krakow to their itineraries, the link could improve traffic flow. | Source: Lviv Life | May.30.2009 |
