The financial crisis will not influence the cost of a Euro 2012 stadium in Lviv.
"I would like to tell you that the cost of work will not change because of the crisis. The general contractor has confirmed that the cost of the work approved earlier suits him, as building materials have fallen in cost... and there are enough materials [that are to be used] produced in our region. In addition the contractor has its own metallurgical plants, therefore the sum approved earlier [is still suitable]" Kmyt tells Kyiv Post.
The cost of the stadium construction is about UAH 637 million. And the construction workers are not wasting their time - the work is going quicker than planned. When the spring comes, a third shift of workers are to be hired, which will both speed up the construction and give work to 300 or 400 workers. Everybody wins!
