The wait is finally over and it's great news for Ukraine and Lviv. As part of the victorious Euro 2012 joint bid by Poland and Ukraine, Lviv will will host some of the group matches. Dniepropetrovsk, Donetsk and Kiev are the other Ukrainian cities that will host games, while four Polish cities, Warsaw, Gdansk, Wroclaw, and Poznan will also have the honour of staging this prestigious tournament. Chorzow and Krakow have a nervous wait, as they have been given the role of being reserve cities and will be on standby if the unexpected happens and one of the host cities fail to come up to standard. A further feather in the cap for Ukraine, is that, Kiev is likely to hold the final.

No longer will Lviv be one of Europe's best kept secrets. With an expected upgrade of the infrastructure leading into the area, this is likely to lead to a tourist boom. No doubt, Lviv will be dubbed the 'new Krakow', or the 'new Prague' by travel writers yet to discover it's charms.

Why wait till 2012 to visit? Discover Lviv now and enjoy it before everyone else does.
