The Viennese Cafe

|
Counting the number of 'Vienna cafes' across the world would be no mean feat, but this spot has a more authentic pedigree than most. The Viennese Cafe first opened here back in 1829 when Lviv (Lemberg) was one of the key cities in the Habsburg Empire. Emperor Frans Josef would no doubt approve of the calibre of cakes on offer, although he would be a trifle alarmed by the fact that Austria is several hundred miles west these days. The Summer terrace is a fine bonus. |
