Bandinelli Palace Museum

Techically this is supposed to be the Museum of the History of the Postal Service. We didn't see much that fittted that particluar bill (perhaps they've gone off the idea) but it seems measly to complain when faced with a restoration of this calibre. Signore Bandanelli began a mail service from Lviv all the way back in 1629. The Italian's magnificent palace has just emerged from a painstaking restoration programme, and if this is a taste of things to come, Lviv is in safe hands. A triumph. On our visit, the newly opened interior housed a mixed bag of civic paraphernalia coupled with a pottery collection on the second floor. |

The museum interesting in itself, but the palace is beautiful and definitely worth seeing!
